Dear Member,
It is my hope that this note clarifies the confusion that seems to have been created by the new “Open Event”. Let me state how the remaining competitions will be conducted as we move forward.

Amateur Event:
Remains unchanged. Eligible competitors will compete for individual Competition titles and awards; earning Series Points based on their finish in these which are applied to the M.U.G.S. Dog of the Year championship.
Open Event:
This is for all competitors not eligible to compete as an Amateur and not wanting to compete in the Main Event. Competitors will compete for individual Competition titles and awards. Competitors will be able to distinguish prior to the Competition that they intend to earn Series Points for either the Puppy or Masters M.U.G.S. Dog of the Year championship. These points will be awarded based on their placement in the Open Event as they finished against the other Puppy or Masters competitors.
Top Gun Main Event:
Remains unchanged. Competitors will compete for individual Competition titles and cash prizes; earning Series Points based on their finish in individual Competitions which are applied to the M.U.G.S. Dog of the Year title.

I am hopeful that this brings clarity to the program for you and I look forward to your continued participation.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and as always, I wish you good times and good hunting.

Dave Northamer
